Grief & Loss Navigation

It’s important to acknowledge the grief and loss associated with the adoption journey, no matter your role. Working with an experienced counselor can help you process and prepare for what’s ahead.

Parenting Strategies

Support your child’s social, emotional, and mental well-being. By working with an adoption-competent counselor, you can learn discipline techniques and conflict resolution strategies to foster a healthy relationship.

Family Identity

Adoptees may lack a sense of self that affects their relationships, growth, and behavior. Developing a new identity as a family unit alongside a trained professional can strengthen connections and support healthy development.

Trauma Processing

Some children enter into their journey with traumatic experiences. Empowering adoptees to process their complex feelings with compassionate professionals helps prepare them for future conflict and maintain healthy relationships.

Attachment & Bonding

Rebuilding bonds and attachments with a new family takes time. Partnering with an adoption-competent counselor can help establish trust between the child and parent, plan healthy routines, and equip parents with sensitivity training.
