On November 18th, Pathways for Little Feet held the second annual Little Plates for Little Feet event at the Houstonian Hotel. The fundraiser/evening featured 12 of Houston’s most renowned chefs, all benefiting Pathways’ cause. Each chef created two little plates and the guests voted based on 5 categories: Best Presentation, MostUnique, Most Flavorful, Most Creative Design, and Best Overall. Best Overall was taken home by Mark Holley, of Holley’s Seafood Restaurant & Oyster Bar, for his Crab Roll.
The event was in honor of Fran Fauntleroy who has worked tirelessly on the Pathways staff for the past six years. Her can-do spirit, her deep friendships and her devout love of God and all of His children has elevated Pathways to new levels during her tenure with the organization. She has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for Pathways for Little Feet, and has helped hundreds of children come home. She was given the first annual Angel for the Orphan award that is now named in her honor. Pathways for Little Feet will forever be grateful for all that Fran has done on behalf of the organization and the orphans of the world.
Little Plates raised over $180,000 that goes directly to loans to help more families bring more children into their forever homes.
To put that into perspective that is enough to bring another 25 children home to loving families. We have told the stories of four of our most recent Pathways families on the back page of this newsletter. Please take the time to read them. These stories are incredible reminders of the important work that Pathways and our partners get to participate in.
